Frequently asked questions
Straight answers about copy trading, how Amplify works, and what to check before you start — no jargon, no sales pitch.
What is copy trading?+
Copy trading means connecting your own trading account to another trader's account, so every trade they open is automatically mirrored on yours, scaled to your own balance. You're following an existing strategy in real time instead of picking trades yourself. Read the full explainer in our beginner's guide.
Is copy trading safe?+
No trading is risk-free. You're exposed to the same market risk the underlying strategy takes on, including losses. It's a legitimate way to follow a strategy, but you should only commit money you can afford to lose and always check the track record first.
Who actually places the trades?+
An experienced human trader team with more than 10 years of trading experience. Amplify is a promotional channel, not the trading party — the trades you copy come from that team's own account, not from an AI algorithm.
How much money do I need to start?+
It depends on the account type you open with Tag Markets, the broker used for this strategy, since minimum deposits vary by account type. There is no separate fixed amount required by Amplify itself — check the account setup guide or contact us for current details.
Can I see a verified track record before I start?+
Yes. The track record is published on MyFXBook, which connects directly to the live account and shows unedited trading history rather than a screenshot or summary someone put together. You can view it in the results section.
Where does my money go — do I send funds to the trader?+
No. Your funds stay in your own broker account the whole time. You're giving the copy trading software permission to place trades on your behalf based on the source account — you're not transferring money to another person.
Can I stop copy trading at any time?+
Yes. The account and funds are your own, so you're always in control of disconnecting — since Tag Markets is the broker used for this strategy, you can manage or close that connection directly from your Tag Markets account at any time.
Why does Amplify focus on gold (XAUUSD)?+
The strategy the team trades is focused on gold (XAUUSD), a widely traded market known for consistent volatility and liquidity, rather than spreading activity across many unrelated instruments.
What does 24x or 12x mean on the results page?+
12x and 24x are real leveraged account options offered by Tag Markets, the broker used for this strategy — not hypothetical illustrations. They're shown on the results page alongside the real MyFXBook data to show how that same performance scales at each tier, which is also why the growth looks more attractive at higher leverage. Leverage cuts both ways, so each tier has its own maximum drawdown limit — see the account setup guide for details.
How long does account setup take?+
Most people can complete the account setup steps in under 30 minutes by following the walkthrough videos in the account setup section on the homepage.
What is Tag Markets / MetaTrader / SonicAI?+
Tag Markets is the broker used, MetaTrader is the trading platform your account runs on, and SonicAI is the copy trading infrastructure that mirrors trades from the source account to yours. None of them are Amplify itself — Amplify is an independent promotional channel.
Do I need to use Tag Markets specifically, or can I use my own broker?+
This strategy only works through Tag Markets. SonicAI's copy trading infrastructure mirrors trades exclusively into Tag Markets accounts — it isn't available through other brokers or platforms, even ones that support copy trading in general.
Do I need to manually copy each trade myself?+
No. Once your account is connected, everything runs automatically — trades are copied in real time directly into your own MetaTrader 5 (MT5) account. You don't need to watch the markets, follow the trader manually, or place anything yourself.
Can I see a trade while it's still open?+
Not while it's live. The system is deliberately set up so a position only becomes visible on your account once it's closed — this protects the underlying trading signals from being extracted and resold while they're still active.
I still have a question — how do I reach you?+
Use the contact page — book a Zoom call directly, or send a message and you'll get a reply directly.
